hello. i was wondering if i should go to a completely planted tank. because i recently experimented with a wild cabomba plant, and it seems to be growing quite well. my substrate is white sand from the hardware store, and my lighting is just one 40 watt strip light, i have a 90 gallon tank. i was wondering why is my cambomba plant growing quite well in this setting? i know i need much more lighting then this, and a better substrate, can someone explain this? and i've had the plant for about 2 weeks.please explain. thanks.
