Should I trust my LFS?

I have been wanting to start a saltwater tank for a long time but haven't because of all of the advise against doing one in anything smaller than a 55gal. I walk into the LFS and saw a 29gal saltwater beg. kit?

Should I get that one, or wait fior the 55 gal?

Never tried S/W myself (yet) - but as I understand it - the larger the tank, the simpler it is to keep it stable. A 500 gal S/w tank would almost take care of itself, but a 5 gal would need watching carefully. If you know what you're doing then fine, but when someone says go with a 55, they're just trying to make it easier for you. It's all about the water chemistry.

I personally recommend the beginner to a tank of at least 20 gallons. That 29 gallon set-up would be perfect for you to start with.
