Shroom Attatching

So I had this little shroom on a rock, that was being overtaken by the larger shrooms around it, and thus not getting any light. So I took it off the rock, and now I'm wondering how long it'll take for it to attatch to another rock? I have it in a little plastic cup getting little flow so it doesnt float around, and its near the top of the tank so it gets light, so how long does it usually take?

like lotus said it usually takes a week or 2 but ive had some that i bought loose that i could never seem to get to attach... btw when ther crowded on a rock i usually leave them since if they are unhappy theyll move on ther own
