Does anyone know whether Oscar's eventually get used to people and come out to see you ? We've only had him for 3 days now and he's eating and everything but he tends to hide when we walk in the room. I realize this is perfectly understandable since he's in a new tank, etc.. just wondering what length of time it takes for an oscar to get comfy and start to show himself more?

Its really hard to say how long it will take. Each fish, especially larger South American Cichlids, tend to have their own personality. And large SA Cichlids are usually very keeper friendly...or interact well with their owners so he should come around.

Give it another couple of weeks and he should get more friendly - especially at feeding time (piggies)
