I am just wondering if someone could tell me why he is loosing his color in his facial area only.... He is going from dark purple to almost a grey color.. :(
I called the pet store.. and he said that fighters don't take well to change.. So with my tank being soo new.. he kind of figured that it wasn't cultured enough for him just yet... which is fine... I took him out to his little bowl again.. he seems to be okay in there.. but he is loosing his colors.....
If anyone could help me out.. would be wonderful.. Thank you....

This fish I just got.. I used to have a fish tank awhile back. but shut it all down... them were basically goldfish for my kids..
So.. got a 25gallon going now.. looking great. has been running now for just under 48 hours....
The water temp in the tank is..76.... The tetra is doing fine in there.. but he is all alone. I took the fighter out..

So your betta is still in a little bowl alone, eh? IMO, it's better to put the betta into a tank with filter and heater. If you choose to keep it in a little bowl, make sure you do partial water change often and don't overfeed it. Good luck.

Thank you Coyote... Yes.. I will change his water often..... I just hope he makes it...
My one friend has a fighter fish just in a bowl with no heaters or air filters.. and hers is gorgeous... all full of life.. and happy go lucky.. So.. who knows... to each their own I guess.. hehe..
Thank you.. will keep you posted.
