Siamese fighting fish feeding habits.

#1
Hi all,
I have a fighting fish, who a couple of months ago had a case of popeye.
He was treated and pulled through.
I have noticed when i feed him bloodworm, its almost like he cannot see the food.
Is it possible that he may be blind?

The bloodworm is thawed first then dropped in,a bit at a time.
He may notice a few ,then the rest will just pass him by.
Any tips on feeding these guys would be good.

Am i doing it right,or is he really blind.

I generally mix 1-2 frozen bloodworm cubes in a cup of tankwater until they thaw. I then feed some using an eye-dropper, and then keep the rest in the cup---uncovered---in the fridge until the next day's feeding.

Maybe this helps? Good luck!

If you're feeding bloodworms to only one betta, you'll learn to chip only the smallest amount off the corner of the block. If you thaw out a whole cube, you'll definitely have a lot of wasted bloodworms. I don't think I'd save them over for more than a day or so.

I give my bettas a bloodworm or two once or twice a week. Other days they get fed once a day: pellets-- no more than they will eat in a couple of minutes. One day a week I fast them. If they get constipated, they get part of a mashed, thawed, frozen pea.
