I have a 55 gallon tank with Mbuna Cichlids in and one of isn't right. My Orange Zebra is swimming vertically not horizontally just under the surface. He had some white fungal looking stuff on his fin and tail so I'm medicating him for that and it's almost gone now. He also has grey stripes down his body and round his head, almost looks like he's dirty not yellow. My other fish are fine, swimming round doing heir normal thing. Any ideas?

Bear in mind that infections often come in more than one form - what starts out as a fungal infection can weaken the fish, and lead to subsequent bacterial infections. Most meds allow for this, and will actually treat for both at the same time.

You may be seing the retreat of the fungal problem - but the fish may also be suffering from another problem by now.

Read the small print on the meds at the LFS - find one that does everything.

Failing that - if the fish is in that much distress and it has tank mates - you may wish to consider "terminating" that one fish. (Not what i'd normally recommend - I'd say treat the whole tank for both - but it's got to be your call)
