You may have already read about the little issues I had with my cardinals, if not, let me catch you up. I got a batch from PetSmart, beautiful and healthy. I got another batch from the lfs and like a moron put them all straight into the big tank with the rest. When I noticed 2 of the new ones looked a little pale I removed them to the QT, 1 died the other seemed to be getting better so I put him into the big tank.

I've been noticing that cardinals have gone missing and last time I did a water change I found 2 slimey cardinal bodies. I searched but found no more and assumed, well, I don't know what I assumed. Anyway, that left 4 in the big tank. So I went to PetSmart and got 3 beautiful and healthy babies, put them straight into QT. Today I noticed one of the big tank guys was missing and finally found him quivering around the bottom. Still swimming but kinda, twitching. And not schooling with the rest. And the color in the whole school is off, not nearly as bright as my new beautiful babies.

My question is, do I put them in the QT with the obviously healthy ones and dose them all for sickness? Do I leave them in the big tank and hope for the best? Do I put the healthy ones in the big tank and the possibly sick ones in the QT? Do I put the healthy ones in the big tank and just the twitchy one in the QT? Do I euthanise the twitchy one? I have no clue what to do here.

I would add any fish to the QT tank that need it. If it is over crowded then add some plants to seperate the fish. You will need to keep up on the water changes.

Looking at your sig can you add the fish from one of your smaller tanks into a different tank so you can QT the Trembeling one? If the new ones look healty then I would keep them seperate from the Sick looking one just to make sure that they wont get anything.

I hope this Helps.
