I just had a fish die, it was a tetra.  The day before it died it was quite colorless, and wasn't swimming properly.  The next day it was gone, couldn't find it anyware.  Does anyone know what type of disease this could be, and can the other fish in the tank catch it?

Not that I could answer that one anyway, but in order to get an answer that is reliable, you need to provide additional info, ie, pH, nitrite/nitrate levels, tank size, etc.  More parameters might also answer the question for you, for example if you would find an ammonia spike.

Your tetra sounded like it was in some kind of shock, Listless swimming usually indicates I high level of stress.  Thank goodness none of your other fis are infected though.
