Sick Mickey

My mickey mouse fish isn't doing well. We had her for a little over two months. No other mickeys in the tank. The past week, she has been very bloated and hanging near the bottom of the tank. She is not eating much. I'm new to the tropical fish world. Any ideas on what may be wrong with her?

I don't know if she is pregnant. I've had her for two months and she shares the tank with neons only. I'll try the pea. Thank You

When mine is pregenante it will do that

Being alone in the tank with neons only, is it even possible that she is pregnant? How long is the gestation period......new with no knowledge on these things....

Well considering they can store sperm up to 6 months my guess would be she is pregnant. They usually stop eating just before giving birth and kinda hang along the bottom. They are also quite fat with a squarish looking behind. I wouldn't move her at this late stage or she may abort the fry. Keep an eye out for the little ones. If you can and if you want the fry put some plants in so they have a place to hide. Congrats.
