Hello everyone!

Just a quick question - I purchased 2 zebra danios a couple weeks ago - and over the weekend, 1 of them started hanging out at the bottom of the tank, or hiding under a rock or in a plant - i have been keeping an eye on it for the last few days - there's no signs of disease, he just likes to sit at the bottom - he seems to be eating, just not as active as the other zebra

i also purchased 2 more fish a couple days ago - 2 cories - and they seem to be just fine

i did a water change last night and all the readings are good

anyone have any ideas on this?

thanks!

Daions like to be in schools...large schools, with lots of other danios to play with. It could be that the bigger danio is being a bully, nipping fins and all, so the little guy is hiding out on the bottom trying to save himself from getting beat up. Next time you get fish, get about four more danios and the shy one should come out to play more.
