Silica Sand

Can you use Silica sand in a FW tank? Its cheaper to buy a 25lb bag of this then getting 4 bags of that other stuff sold in the lfs @ $25.00 a bag.

i use it its pretty darn clean..but id still wash it out...

i bought a 50lb bag for $3.58

its cleaner and nicer looking than playground sand IMO.
