silly question

[CSM]

i was reading about how great almond and banana leaves are for bettas. for spawning and as a medicine.

a banana plant doesn't have the same affects does it? I was still thinking of getting a banana plant (due to the ease of growing and the broad leaves) in case i get a betta in the future

Mmmmm....funny thing is....I read somewhere that people put some kind of leaf in a small jar with their betta to "toughen " it up.

It was supposed to toughen up the gills and scales in preparation for fighting.

Dunno how it works or how true it is.........post something if you find out CSM.

I was just gonna ask if anyone has heard of a plant called cattapa? Apparently breeders swear by it. What are its benefits for a male who I do not plan on breeding?
