Silver dollars and plants

Anyone know if there are any plants rather than java fern that silver dollars won't eat? I've tried many, and I haven't came across java fern yet at the pet shops...

Really? No Java Fern at your lfs? odd, all the stores here seem to have Java fern, though I'm still looking for one in really good condition, I think they get snapped up before I can get there. Or there is one shop here that just charges too much for their plants.

I'd suggest ordering online, especially if you want quite a few plants (not much difference on shipping 1 or 20 plants)

I think they'd eat it if they could, but it's poisonous. I guess they won't eat anything really tough if they're adequately fed, but then they'd grow like heck.
You could mail order java fern as it's pretty indestructible in my experience

i have some micro swords or something like that its a grasslike plant not to tall about 1in 1/2 tops and it hasnt been eaten by them yet(about 6months) also i have some plant i think money wort its a bunch plant with fat leathery looking leaves real green i like it anyways they havent touched that. but i put the same thing in a gourami tank and it was eaten in like 2 days. hope i helped. peace

Eh, I've tried those microswords, they looked like a pack of cows grazing on them. They don't seem to mess with hornwort, but hornwort is hornwart..

try any of the anubias. when i had silver dollers that and jova fern were the two plants left in my tank .bye bye silver dollers and tinfoil barbs (also bad with plants).good luck
