Silver DOllars

I have 4 balas, 3 iridescent sharks and 2 new silver dollars.  The silver dollars get along fine with the fish, but whenever anyone comes up to the aqurium they hide.  Any suggestions about getting these to eat?

Also will clown loaches work in this tank?

The clowns will probably hide too.  They get "spooked" pretty easily.

Hmm.. they are still hiding, only when they see movement outside the tank though.  I think the are only eating once in the mornings.

I have 2 Silver Dollars in one of my tanks.
They are veggie eaters so if you have live plants in the tank they will more than likely eat em.
Mine aren't shy but what you could do is get a nickel and drill a hole in the center of it or get some of those lead weights used to anchor plants down. Then jus t get a small leaf from a head of lettuce and stick one end trough the hole and get like a small part of a twist tie and use it on the end to keep the nickle from falling of and drop it in the tank.
They will eventually eat at it.

Thanks, how long can I leave lettuce in there before I need to change it?  Also my tank is 150g

Don't quite know. I just usually leave it in there till it looks like its needs to be changed out. You can tell when just by the looks. Maybe 2 or 3 days.

Just got them 3 more and the 2 still won't come out very often.

I think one of them may die soon, the other will come out and swim through the air stone often now.  The other one is just too shy.
