Silver Shark chasing my Goldfish

hiya,

ive noticed my silver shark chasing my goldfish, around and around and around and around my tank, any reason why its doing that?

i thought these fish kept to themselves ?

nikon70,I assume you talking about a bala shark, they are known to be quite peaceful,but they do grow up to 1 foot. I would advise not keeping cold water and tropicl fish together. Is your goldfish a "fancy" type,as they can often be bad swimmers and your shark maybe picking on him cause of his trailing finnage. Bala sharks are not known to be fin nippers, you could just have a bad egg!!!

yeah its a bala shark, hes not grown in a year and is about 4" now.
only reason there is a goldy in there is the gf went out one day and got it, yeah its a fancy, not a bad swimmer tho, its a fat bugger tho.

probably just in a bad mood as it nearly jumped out the tank the other day.

it jumped out when i was moving house, flipping all over the floor the silly thing.

Yea,they like to jump I caught mine in mid air once Dont really know what you can do execpt split them up asap. *thumbsup2

lol, stupid fish, oh i know im safe in this water, lets jump out and flip around on the floor and die.....
na will let them fight it out, they will resolve things soon. only just started doing it.

well for all i know they could be playing, and if i seperate them they might be lonely obviously if it gets worse i will remove the gf (thats goldfish not the girlfriend) hehe
