Hello everyone, Im hoping someone can help me with my dilemma.
I've had a 180 gallon tank for 6 month now. It is a well established tank with 0 nitrites, 0 ammonia, 7.2PH, and a low amount of nitrates. In my tank I have 4 Bala Sharks ( been in the tank for about 5 months), 1 Rainbow shark ( in tank for about 4 months), 2 Clown Loaches ( in tank about 3 months), 5 Tiger Barbs ( in tank about 2 months now) and yesterday my boyfriend and I added 2 Silver Tipped Sharks, which we were assured that would be ok in the tank, and that their tankmates could handle aquarium salt. After acclimating them last night, one took to the tank just fine and was eating/ acting normal right away, while the other one seemed to be very sluggish and kept resting vertical ( nose to gravel and tail torwards the top of the tank), while we were alarmed we decided to see if he would adjust. When we woke up this morning he was dead (upside down) at the bottom of the tank. What could of caused him to die so quick? All the other fish are doing fine and are very active and eat well.
We normally feed them a mixture of tropical flakes and bloodworms every other day. Do bi-weekly 20% water changes, and a gravel vacuume every other week also. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
(Sorry about the lengthy post)
