Simple Dojo Question

Hi everyone, I've got one lone Dojo, I've been reading around, and I read that Dojo's like to burrow under the substrate, well my gravel is a bit large for this type of behavior, so he lays next to his hideouts, sometimes in, sometimes out, he seems happy though. I may be re-scaping this tank in the next couple of weeks, should I buy a more "Dojo freindly" substrate? Or will he be OK with what I've got (I'd prefer to keep my substrate if possible).

He'll be OK with the substrate, as long as you provide caves and hiding spaces for him.

Make sure your tank is well covered. They can, and do, jump out of the tiniest spaces.

Yes the tank is well covered, the only opening is where the HOB filter hangs, I've not had any trouble with him getting out yet, Should I try to close up the HOB area a little more?

If there's more than 1/2" gap, then I'd try to close it.

Yea, the gaps about an inch, I'll get some plastic sheeting from the craft store, I've used in before for these types of things, works well, and cheap to buy
