I figured I'd feed my fish some bloodworms, they came in a cup (non-frozen) for 99cents. I should have asked before I left the pet store how do I feed them to my fish. I scooped about a few and dropped it in the tank and the fish ate like 2 or three and ignored the rest as they were falling to the bottom. The worms reached the bottom and immediately went under the rocks. I tried to feed again and the same happened. How should I feed the bloodworms and what is going to become of the worms under the rocks?

just wait a while till they start to liike the worms when i get a new fish they would ignore the worms maybe eat one or two but after a while they can't get enough of it lol well also i saw in this lfs they put the worms in a bowl type container and the fishes would pick at them and the bowl was deep enough for the worms to stay in and not get out even if the worms get into ur gravel some bottom feeders can eventually find them... i feed mine with a large eyedropper just put a small clump in a cup with some water and i can feed the fishes and make sure they all get enough

i also recomend putting them in a large bowl like a 1gal fish bowl and fill it halfway with aquarium water (they are sensitive to tap water) and chang the water every couple days, when i first started feeding worms i kept them in the cup in the frigde and most of them would crawl out or die by the end of the week and stink it all up... i keep mine in a fishbowl next to my 10gal tank and they would last a long time since i vary the type of food with my fishes

dwarf frogs perfer food that sinks to the bottom of the tank, I tried feeding mine bloodworms, but they were so lazy they didn't want to swim up and get them, and when they sank they got covered with the gravel, try feeding the frog a pellet food that sinks

Oh, no! The bloodworms got away. And under the rocks. Well, dont worry. In a couple of months they might be a foot long and 3 inches thick. You can easily just pull them out then.  *laughingcryingsmiley* *laughingcryingsmiley* *laughingcryingsmiley*  ::)

so..... if those bloodworms got away and under the gravel..
will they die and rot and stink up the entire tank?
or will they live on and multiply by the millions and overun the tank and soon come crawling out and invade the room instead?

well.. i'm serious *celebratesmiley*
