Sinking Platy?

So I seem to have bad luck when it comes to platies, first bullies, now one (who's not being bullied) seems to sink when he isn't swimming hard. His tail end looks like it's sinking and dragging him down, and he appears to be struggling a little to keep from sinking. Is he sick or does anyone know what's going on with him?

What are the readings of ammonia, nitrite and nitrate? How often and how much water do you change?

Sorry for not responding in forever...computer problems. Anyways, I treated the tank with melafix for a week and the platy is now swimming straight and fine, he's still small and thin compared to the other platies, but he acts and looks healthy. Thanks for your thoughts and time

Maybe it was his swim bladder?

Could have been, I think he was a product of inbreeding since he isn't as big or "rounded" as the other platies.
