I'm thinking about adding 3-4 skunk loaches to a community tank. Are they aggressive in anyway?
The community currently consists of 1 3-spot gourami, albino aeneus cory, panda cory, cherry barbs, odessa barb. In addition to loach I'll be adding a school columbian tetra & possiblly increase #'s of fish already in the tank.

Anyone with any experience with these?

I have some in one of my tanks. I have heard reports that they can be nippy, but I haven't seen any signs of this in my tank. I have with mine: angels, other botia species, rams, livebearers, plecos. I've found them to be extremely shy in my tank. I would definitely recommend you quarantine these for a while if you get them. The first batch I got came with some ugly internal worm parasites.

My experience with Skunk Loaches is that they are more aggressive than other Loaches. They were pretty territorial, so make sure your tank is large enough and you have lots of hiding spots. Your Cories should be tough enough to hold their own should you get a particularly aggressive Skunk.

I have also heard they can be nippy, but I have never kept them myself. I would say,you will be ok though,as most of your fish are barbs, and should be able to hold there own.

the more you get, the less chance they'll bother other fish. i currently have 6 in a 55g, and i'd more if i could find them locally. they've been some of my favorites for the last couple years. mine chase each other quite a bit, but i've never observed them bothering any other fish.
