Okay, the fungus has all cleared up, the babies are almost big enough not to be eaten, and I am about to do a water change in both the tank and the bowl. The fish are all doing just fine! I might get another tank and breed bamboo shrimp later, but for now I still need more info in http://www.myfishtank.net/forum/freshwater-beginner-information-questions/64382-breeding-bamboo-shrimp.html. Thanks everyone for all the information in all of my threads!

I might have to sell some of my babies to my friends, and just keep a few. My mom said I can't get another fish tank, and "17 fish in one tank is fine". I don't think I will ever trust any information about fish that she gives me.
I agree with you there. At one time I had over 40 fish in one tank, but about 2/3 of them were fry. How's your Cory doing?? And what are you currently feeding your fry??

The Cory is doing fine, and occasionally I put her on the other side of the divider to clean up after the babies.

I feed the babies crushed flakes. I feed that to the adults too, otherwise they just sit there and suck on the flakes until they break down.

The babies are now about 1/5 inches long! They are so CUTE!!!!!! They haven't changed color, yet. How long until they change into their adult color? They are about 2-3 weeks old now.

Yeah, but it depends on who she got pregnant with. Fact is, most livebearers are pregnant when you buy them. I bought virgin female Platies, but now I'm buying pre-hit (pregnant) Guppies. Your Molly probably bred with a Black Molly and therefore, black covers most other colors.

I went to petco not long ago, and I do remember that the gold dust mollies were not in the same tank that the black mollies were in. I don't remember what the gold dust were sharing their tank with, but I do know that I bought the fish already pregnant.

Well genetics play a large roll too. Also with the fact that the mollies aren't sorted when they are shipped to the store. They're in one big container and the store sorts them to make it look appealing to the customers.

stores dont sort fish. they order a varition and it comes. id the breeders kept the fish all together they wouldnt get a good stock of gold dust or black.

and gold dust mollys are probably a decendent from the black ones, so the gene could show through. with fish, you can really know what colors they throw.

i dont know much about breeding bamboo shrimp, but if you get a spawn, def make a thread for it for anyone else who may be interested

From what I read about bamboo shrimp is that they have rarely been bred successfully in captivity. The young are born as larva and need salt or brackish water. My suggestion is to learn more about them before buying any because they apparently are more complicated than some of the other shrimp.

Oh well, at least all of yours didn't get eaten like mine. I didn't have a breeding tank because my LFS didn't have them at the moment. I waited 2 days until they got them in and BOOM. None left :(
