Small Affordable Pletco

I am looking for a sucker fish, but not a common pleco i want something that is nice looking, i.e. zebra sucker fish or something that is better than brown/brown common pleco type color. But i don't want it to break my wallet into triple digits. Looking to spend around 20-30 dollars(flexible) need to know what type i should look for that will stay under 6-8 inches.

I saw one the other day at my LFS called a butterfly pleco. I think it is L-168. According to planetcatfish it says it will stay under 6" and is a good algae eater. Looks somewhat like a zebra plec.

Golden Nugget Pleco (L18) in my area are on average $40, sometimes you can find one for about $25. Very nice when you have a big light set-up and it hits it.

It is really just going to depend on what is available at your LFS or if you are willing to pay for shipping one.

The bristlenose stays pretty small - about 5 inches and should be available in your area. AquaBid.com has a TON of neat plecs on auction if you are willing to pay the shipping!

i've seen rubbernose plecos at both of the petsmarts in my area, and a candy stripe pleco at petco. bristlenose plecos seem pretty common too. none of those get bigger than 6"!

Candy Striped Plecos get about 4 inches and are very pretty.
