I have a ten gallon tank and want a fish that is small. Realy small so that i can get enough to see how they school without overcrowding the tank. Any ideas would be great thanks.

I've been very happy with my harlequin rasboras. They're not as colorful as neons, but they are a lot more active.

They also seem to school better than the neons, and are less fragile.

Of course, you can't compete with the beautiful colors of neons, and they do look great in a school.

i found mollies grow to big for a 10 gallon tank, guppies ive had trouble with whether or not its the shops ive been buying them from, ive currently got 6 harlequins rasboros in a 10 gallon and like someone said earlier they are active! i love watching them feed every morning because they just snap at the water then dive down again, but neons are also a good buy(if they survive)

I would also go with white clouds or rasboras.

White clouds tend to be top-water swimmers so maybe you can get a small school of them and a small school of a middle dwellers like rasboras. Then your tank will be really busy!

I am parshal towards rasboras over neons, maybe it's because they are more active or hardy but sometimes I think I just like the under-dog.;)
