Small Problem

So the fuge that I made sprung a leak and I lost a couple gallons before I found it. No fishes or inverts were lost, but does anyone know what will remove silicone from acrylic? I need to rebuild it this time building some supports.

How long will Chaeto survive in a bowl water with no water movement? My emerald crab went through a big chunk in one night.

Chaeto will survive a nuclear war. Don't worry.
Maybe your acrylic bowed too much

That's what I'm thinking. I have to rethink my design and include supports like on the top and bottom. I hope to get it back together thursday and I'm going to make sure my edges are smooth to get a good bond. At least I don't have to worry about my macro.

do you have access to any kind of propane torch or even a mechanics heat gun i would use that to seal the edges on acrylic it is a lil messy but whens its all said and done there no way for it to leek if you do it right

I used weld on which is supposed to be great stuff. I then used silicone to help seal the edges. I do have a tourch and I will use that to help seal the outside edges.
