Small white starfish

Does anyone have or had an issue with those little white and gray "starfish" looking things. I pull 20 to 50 a week out of my tank. Seems if I leave them alone they will over take the tank. They like to eat the coraline algee. I see white spots every where they have been. A Harlequin Shrimp is not an option, as I have other star fish in the tank. any suggestions?

are they like little specs, or are they clearly starfish. They may be encrusting snails, thats the only thing I can think of it how you described it

Do they actually look like starfish? They may be micro serpent stars. I have a bunch in my tank and in my fuge. This photo taken from wetwebmedia.com

I believe there called Asterina starfish. I'm not sure how to post a pic, but I did find a web site at http://www.wetwebmedia.com/asterinafaqs.htm
The site has a few ideas, but people on this site usally have some great ideas and experance.
