Recently the LFS has been getting a way better selection of SA cichlids, and even getting in some Geophagus species. What would be the smallest type of geo, and smallest tank they could live in happily (with tank mates of the same species)?
I'm guessing a 55gal with Geophagus Tapajos Orange Heads?

If you are looking to get Geos, I just want to let you know, you are gonna need to get every fish you plan to put in the tank at the sametime. Reason being they do fine introduced together but you can forget about trying to add anything after. Another thing is you need sand for them, gravel will not suffice. They really enjoy digging in the sand, hence their name, Eartheaters. :p

Edit: Thought this might help ;) http://www.cichlidforum.com/profiles/category.php?cat=31

If you can get your hands on a juvi you can keep him in a smaller tank then a 55 for about a little bit longer then a year. I got mine 4 months ago at 1 inch. Hes only 2 inches now. They grow really slow, usually reaching 6 inches in about 2 years. I dont think it matters how you introduce fish with them as long as they are juvies. So far ive seen no agression from him. He just sifts through sand all day and does his little dance when he wants food. One of my favorite fish.

Well, that would depend on what X equals, and which species. If you're intending on the Orange heads, then yes, they should be okay with a Sev in a 75gal - depending, of course, on if your Sev decides to let them share a tank with him ;)
