Snady bottoms with fake plants???

Would it be a good Idea to use fake plants for my convict?? I am going to have black sand substrate. How far would I need to bury the base of the plant(fake)?

Also what kind of bottom feeder can I add if any? I stay on top of my wc's!

well my convicts like digging sometimes, and rooted up a few fake plants before

Okay, how far down do they usually dig? And would more rock structures be suitable?

Most cichlids dig until they can't dig anymore. Meaning...the glass bottem.

Plastic plants should be fine...might have to replant a few though every now and then.

Ok doesnt seem so bad. I tend to had do that alot when I had a planted tank lol. Well tomorow is the big day to get Akon(the convict)!

Would I be able to add a bottom feeder crew?

What size tank? Most likely the answer is going to be no. Any bottom dweller may well be attacked by the convicts. If you stay on top of your WC's then you should be fine anyway.
