I have a question. Six months ago, I bought two snails. A month later, one died. So now I've just had one snail for the past 5 months or so. Today I noticed two new baby snails in my tank and I have no idea where they came from. Do snails reproduce a-sexualy or can they store ummmm baby makin stuff for months at a time *laughingc cause i havnt had another snail in over four months.
Also my filter clogs up quit frequently and i have to change it out....would the plants i have be causing the blockage(I'm using a bio-3 filter with bio sponge)? I've got a 10 gallon tank four med plants and 5.5 inches worth of unaggresive fish and a large black snail, two new baby snails and a little frog. I change my water once a month and replace evaporation two to three times a month.
Please help me in eather one of the problems above. Me and my wife will be thankful.
