snail dead?

hi, i just got this mystery gold snail at my LFS that was sticking on the window in the tank..

i got him and put him in my tank, he hasnt moved for 2 days...

how can i tell he is alive still?

He might of been hit of the side or fell and cant turn himself over.

for it to get use to the other fish or it might be sick!!

to do an easy check to see if he is a live ( no here comes what sounds like the cruel part) take you fingernail of the tip of a knife and carefully and lightly try to pry open his door. if there is resistabce hes of it the is none hes either dead or close to it. hope hes ok and hes just being cauciuos of his new home. give him some time he might come out of it. if you pick him up and it smells likea rotten smell coming from the shell its to late hes a goner sorry .
