Snail Eater

Hi Folks, I need too know any other good snail fighters besides The clown Loach?Tank it nedds,water, food,ect.

I have 2 clown loaches and 2 yo-yo loaches in my 30 gallon! the yo-yos are much smaller. they both eat snails and sinking pellets. The yo-yos sure cleaned up my snail population.. according to the fish store guy the yo-yos arent as lazy as the clowns in eating the snails and it didnt take long for them to clean my tank that was REALLY infested with snails.

bettas eat snails too  ;D

there is this fluke medication called "lifebearer" that is really effective at killing snails (as long as you don't have any other invertebrate pets in the tank).

I've never known Bettas to eat snails (and I've kept a Betta in a tank w/ a snail problem).

I would second the Yo-Yo loach reccomendation. Good snail eater and they stay smaller than Clowns.

Yah, Kristin i try to stay away from chemicals

So i was thinking like a YO-YO.So everybody how many would they like together and what is the reasonable price for them ???

I paid $2 for both of mine.

$2 a piece that is, Mine were both in a 30, but were always bickering..so I decided, since the 30 they were in was a very peaceful tank, to split them up.

Other people have had no problems putting a couple together.
