Snail Egg Removal From Glass?

One of the snails just laid eggs in our tropical community tank and I wanted to put them in a different tank so they will have a chance to make it. I know they have to stay above the water and I was going to use a soap dish with the suction cups to hold the clutch until it hatches. I'm just not sure how to go about getting them off of the glass. Any suggestions would be great. Also wondering if a 2.5 gallon would be ok for a while (just for snails)? Thanks!

what kind of snails? if they're pond, trumpet, or ramshorn snails you can just throw (literally if you want; they're pretty hardy) them in the water.

Check out applesnail.net for lots of tips on rearing. My recollection is that it will make a difference if they are canas or brigs as the eggs need different humidity levels.
I suspect the 2.5 gallon won't last long depending on how many hatch. I believe many breeders at applesnail.net use big tupperware bins as hatcheries to accommodate the extra snails and bioload.
Good luck with them!
