So i woke up two days ago to find that my famale snail layed some eggs

And if im not mistaken i remember Freshyfresh posting a post about his snail laying some eggs as well.

Did u have to do anything special for the eggs to hatch? or did u just let them be?

Ive read so many different things about it online and im not sure what to do, some people say to let it be and they would just hatch whenever they are ready and some others were saying to build a hatchering etc...

any advice?

this is a video of the parents.

Yes! That's exactly what my golden mystery snail has been doing. I've got a good 20-30 almost marble sized babies now.

My big female that (I assume) keeps laying the eggs always chooses an area under the lighted hood, where bubbles splash up to keep them moist. You could probably move the eggs to a more suitable location, I'm just not versed on this at all.

Out of the 10 or so big clutches of eggs this smail has laid, I believe only 1-2 clutches hatched.

Pretty cool either way!

ok great thanks a lot! I'm scared of moving the clutch im so clumsy that i feel like im going to break it lol.

I read that they lay the eggs in a place where they know they will stay moist and safe but i dont know about that hehe.

I only have 2 a blue (which is the male) and a yellow one thats the female and i know the sex because i see them maiting all the time and my female is huge!! and the male he is very tiny compared to her

if you were to try to move them, a razor blade works well. I removed them from my 10 gallon tank when i had it years ago in fear of a massive amount surviving lol. but it works well with minimal loss.

I know under my plastic hood/light, the egg clusters will pull right off if you touch or bump them. Like I say, I'm not sure which ultimately hatched in my tank, but the clutches that didn't just harden and eventually fall off into the water. If all mine hatched, I'd be overrun by mystery snails!

Some of mine are a white/grey color, others are very golden/yellow. I've given some away, have 4-5 in my 10g and the rest are in my 20L. I hesitate to put any in my 55g, because the bettas in there will never stop picking on them.
