I have many snails in one of my tanks. The vast majority of them are pea sized pond snails of some sort. There is one snail though that has a different shell and has grown quite large. I call him Bubba.

I've grown a liking to Bubba and would like to put him in my main planted display tank. This brings me to my question. Providing that there are not any Bubbette's in the tank to mate with, do I run any risk of the snail multiplying?

I've attached pics of Bubba and the other type of snail. I just want to make sure that they are not of the same species and might be ready to lay eggs in my big tank.

I don't know if he's a ramshorn or not, may well be. The reson I say this is because I've noticed that in my shrimp tank I've had several snails that look like bubba, but that's as big as they ever got. The shell was very thin, and he didn't have the 'trap door' like most that I've seen has. I thought that I had ramshorns too, but I waited and waited and none ever got any bigger.
