Well, this isn't actually an obituary but I had to let my faithful sailfin pleco go today. He's in a happy home where he can grow to monsterous size now. But we won't ever be seeing him again:(

He was getting too big and boisterous for the planted tank. I guess I'm just kinda missing his crazy swimming up and down the glass and blowing the glosso out of the substrate. The tank just seems sadly quiet.

It was a tough decision. He was our family dog.

Sorry

Sorry to hear that u had to get rid of your sailfin. Did he have a name? I had to get rid of two normal pleco that was doing really well but i was lucky. The biggest one went to the boss of the pet shop that my friend works in and he's in a great home. The other one went to the same friends boyfriend. I dont get to see the first one but i'm sure he's huge now. I do however get to see the 2nd one everyone now and then and he's doing really well. I'm sure u did the right thing for your fish though.Have you asked anyone if there is a smaller pleco with lots of personality that you could get. The rubbernose plecs seem to be popular might be worth a look.*celebrate
