Hey, Fluvel makes peat fiber and peat granules for their filters, I bet if you look on the back of those packages there be some kind of formula. They come in smaller blue boxs, kinda hard to find at a lfs sometimes.

I actually bought fluval peat, but was that a mistake. It was expensive and i could of got the same thing at a gardening center or even a hardware store. Im not sure as of how much to use per gallon but ive hear that some people even use it as a subtrate and others just put some in a old net in their power filter.

home depot $3.38 for a good sized bag.i'm not too worried about the color, cause i'm going for the blackwater look anyways.yea peat is some messy stuff,i have already started on adding peat. when i was loading the media bag the other night, afterwards i felt my nose tickle so i went and blew my nose and all this peat dust came out. gross huh?
