solitary mbuna males

Do mbuna males suffer from being kept without females or other males?

I'm new to the african cichlid scene, but I know that specific south american cichlids won't last long without a mate. Is it the same for mbunas?

for reference, these are the species I'm considering (and if possible, I'd like to keep a male of each together in a 30 gallon tank);

Pseudotropheus socolofi (Pindani)

Labidochromis caeruleus (electric yellow Lab)

If youre question is will they survive without a mate, then yes..I have never heard of any fish dying because it didnt have a partner..I dont think any fish will die without a mate..
