Here are a couple of pics of "Harriet" she's one of my more recent additions, and up until the last few days, she was quite camera shy :p Her boyfriend "Ozzie" is in there with her, but he's not to keen on the camera, so those pics will have to wait.

This pic is a little fuzzy, but you can definitely see her coloring (Even more pretty in person). You can see her approx. size by comparing her to the Red-eye Tetras.

Here's one with a slightly different angle.

Though not exactly a "community" fish I've had good luck with them and the Tetras in this setting so far, I expect if/when spawning occurs, I'll need to act fast or the Tetras will likely get beat up pretty bad.

Weird thing is, Harriet totally ignores the Red-Eyes, but she's more aggressive towards the Black Skirts, never any real "fin shredding" just a half-hearted chase around the tank. I can only assume see notices them more, due to the fact they display vertical black stripes as well, perhaps she views them as potential competition, IDunno.

Nice pics...they seem to be getting better as of late---you must be practicing, eh? ;)
I like your theory on the black-widow vertical striping as partly explaining why the cons chase after them more than the other tetras. Probably has something to do with the fact that the red-eye tetras are slimmer too. Anyway, Harriet looks great...makes me miss keeping cons.

Thanks for the comments everyone!!

I'll try to keep y'all apprised of "Ozzie & Harriets" shenanigans as they develop.

Nope, No practicing, I've found that it just takes a couple drinks to steady my hand for pic taking (Ya' know like a 12 pack :D )

It's the only thing I can come up with, I watch them daily, as I don't want to have the Tetras killed should things get out of hand, and as I already said, it just seems the Cons only really notice the Black Skirts....Weird.
