My son has a Betta that just started developing a white, fluffy, cloud-like substance on his fins and his body and he is not eating. Is that ick? (I am new to fish!) TIA!

:nods: also sounds like ick =3 good prodiction for someone so new to fish, how long has your kid had it? I would lisen to guppie newbie, or get some Fungus Eliminator” by Jungle , I've seen it used for getting rid of ick in many cases.

Btw, if I where you XD I would consider all the animals on your list as kids, Jackies always want attention and for dogs there the most like children other then newfunlans. And the bettas will take about just as much money out of you and your kids pockets as a teenage blonde XD And the goats well, there goats O_O When the get sick you might as welll let em go and buy a house with there med money so you can house them better.

My son has had this Betta for about a year now. I will try the fungus eliminator-thanks!

I have to agree with you about all of the "kids"! The "Jackies" (love that!) drive me nuts just as much as my 2 toddlers (ages 2 and 3) do! The fish, yes, they are costing more than I thought to take care of. But my goats, THEY ARE THE BEST!!! They only cost about $20/month and that includes all the hay and grain they need. They don't whine, bark or demand any of attention. They are the best animal out there! Someday, I would love to have a goat farm! *celebrate
