Something's lurking....

There is something white and weird looking at the bottom of my tank. My ghost shrimp won't go near it...

It is like this waving almost translucent liquid but it's staying in one place so it looks like some kind of sea creature thing.... o_0

Anybody have any idea what it could be?

Sounds weird but my guess is just organic buildup. Ive seen flakes and dead fish get covered in almost clear liquid from decaying ... so do a gravel vac and suck that junk out regardless of what it is. Why take the change hey?

Any chance it could be a ADF skin from a molt? They look a little like that.

is it like a film or a clump of thread in appearence

How big is it? My guess would either be food that has fungused or a hydra.
