How old is he? Is he paler in color? Is he still eating well? Anything out of the ordinary about his body (white spots)

Did you do a recent water change? Has the tank been moved? Did you add anthing to the tank (decorations)?

Not eating for betta is not a good sign, if it is his 'regular' food anyway.

Do a 50% water change (conditioned/same temp) and try adding a bit of melafix or bettamax just to slow down any possible infections until you can rule-out bad water.

Ps? Why only a 10% change? How often plus what size?

10gal, thats a good size, good choice, Quagar will be happy to read that ;)

The tank temp s/b around 76 to 78F, 80 is only for breeding and fry.

But that is likely not the issue with your betta. Water, then make sure there is no body marks that look like bacteria infection.

Use a flashlight and look for 'rust spots', called velvet, on his head or body. Is fairly common in bettas and can be treated sucessfully if you diagnose and treat earyly enough.
