Sigh we've had this talk a lot.........

If they arn't Wilds or about 1st generations from wilds (F1) it should be ok. Since the fish have been bred in non-wild water with a higher pH, it really shouldn't affect them.

SUPPOSDLY discus need a pretty low pH. Funny how much sucess Fishboy has with a pH of 8.

I'd still say it should be perfectly fine.

If you plan to breed, you MIGHT need to lower the pH some but should't need to be at a "Wild" state.

Well there's a few that won't hack this high a pH, but you would be fine with the two mentioned above. Note that you will also likely be able to breed them , but you will have broods of entirely female fish produced. Quite a lot of apistos would be ok withthis, but the blackwater species like nijsenni would be a real struggle. It also depends if it's hard as well as high pH - this is a bigger problem
