What's the dimensions of the tank?

If your dead set on adding cory's, then stick with smaller dwarf cichlids from SA like Rams and Apisto's. If you pass on the cory's, then you might be able to do some medium cichlids that aren't very territorial or larger apisto's. Also some shell dwellers from Tanganyika, or smaller Neolamprologus if no cory's.

Do you have any particular in mind?

Convicts breed like crazy. soon you'll end up w/ unwanted babies. w/ my experience i ended up separating the males from the females. eventhough, the biggest female assume the role as the alpha male and breed w/ other female. they were able to raise the fries. only then i was able to proved that female convicts are able to change the sex they prefer. but the convict fries ended up as snack by my red texas before they get big.
