spawning danios

Could someone please tell me how often danios will spawn? I finally got smart and put some marble in the bottom of my tank in case they do even if I dont know if I want to breed them, but the fry will eventually make good food for our future dempsey *PEACE!*

What kind of Danios do you have? If all conditions are right they can spawn up to every 30-45 days.

As far as I know,if you want to make them spawn you either lower the temp,or put some cold water in the tank (I think)

What will the marbles do to prevent the spawning? I just got some danios and oh I do not want alot of spawning. I thought they ate the eggs?

the marbles with actually help the eggs develop. they marbles give the eggs a place to go that the adults can't get to. Thus they can't eat them if they can't find them. If the can find them they will eat them. If you want the eggs to hatch best thing to do is remove the adults, overwise don't worry about it.

Sorry for the delay in responding.. I was off enjoying my 3 day weekend and mine and my husbands anniversary... My Danios are Zebra's. I put the marbles in the tank so that if their eggs will have a place to hide... I was just wondering how OFTEN they could/would spawn?
