Starfish on the move!

Never seen more than a leg or 2 sticking out from under a rock or coral before, was sitting here watchin tv and saw something moving in my tank, heres what i found..

It walked all the way across the front of the tank lol, must have been looking for food or something? Anyways im sure ya don't care but i thought it was neat!

they are definitely neat to watch. i'm afraid to keep them in my display though... I had 1 and it ate a lot of my fish!

these are the bristle stars i think.. i really don't see them getting big enough to consume a fish

I think they could, I have one about the size of a dinner plate in my 75.....he is a model citizen though...

A brittle star will get to at least a 1', but brittle stars are less prone to eat fish. Unless it's a green one!

i didn't think they got that big! I have alot of em in my tank, should i take em out?

personally, if you dont see a problem then I wouldnt take them out, as long as they are well fed
do they often hitchhike?

They will keep your tank nice and clean, though. They can fit in very small places.

ive gotten all mine as hitchhikers.. i have ALOT of them in the tank

I had about a half dozen of the green ones. They definitely multiplied very fast. I just had to keep them in the fuge.

id say it was about 4" from top leg to bottome leg.. I know i have at least 5 more in there but they are smaller.. There might be 1 or 2 that are the same time, i see some pretty long legs in there lol.. also noticed that my 6line isn't doing his job with the bristle worms! i seen a few of em walking on my zoas lastnight.. they don't eat them do they? (the zoas)
