Brittle stars/Serpent Stars would both be a fine addition to your tank. They will not eat shrimp, or corals and primarily feed on the detritus by the fish. If you don't like serpent stars you can look in books and magazines for a species you like. Make sure you know what star your buyiing. Many stars are very hard to keep and tend to die off in a few weeks to months.
