Starting a 125g freshwater aquarium

Hello all,

I have been out of the fish keeping hobby for a bit and I am going to start my 125g aquarium back up. I have two directions I could go and I am wondering which one of these tanks you all think would be more interesting to have.

I will vote that the african cichlids will be more interesting to view, but personally i lean toward the oscar setup. i like the idea having it centered around an oscar, and i love the gold nugget pleco (be aware the site you used has an inaccurate pic of him. they picture a leopard sailfin pleco. gold nugget look different)

I think the African setup will be more full filling and easier to maintain in the long run.

I love the African setup..you have some meanies in there and it should be entertaining . If you set it up with many caves it should be rewarding when they establish territories.

I have 3 African tanks and wish I had set them up 20 years ago.

Number 1 for me! I think the African ones will look amazing and cant wait.. you have to post pictures when done!
