Stocking 10 Gallon

Alright, my cycle is finally finishing up, and next week (probably around the 10th - 12th) I am going to begin stocking my 10 gallon.  It's planted, though not too heavily, and has 2 ADFs already occupying it.  I was going to add the betta and some corys, but the betta has a terrible case of fin rot (and was going crazy yesterday pulling out his own fins) so he won't be entering the tank.

Does anyone have any interesting suggestion on how to stock the tank?  I am very religious (neurotic?) about water changes, so that isn't a problem.

Hmm, in my first 10 gallon, i have 3 female sumset platys, 1 cory (his little friend died the other day.. have to get more when I get back from vacation), 1 betta (male), and one golden wonder killie fish..

*In another 10 gallon, I will have a pair of blue rams,

*In my 12 gallon, I have 1 blue gourami, 3 neons, 3 kuhli loaches, 1 golden wonder killiefish, and one oto.

*You could do, a brackish tank, with one figure eight puffer, and 2 bumble bee gobies. LIve or frozen food prefured..

*How about 3-4 dwarf sunfish? You'd have to special order them, or get them off of aquabid.com.. More live or frozen food..

*What about 6-7 dwarf puffers?

*Or, if your a cichlid person, what about a pair of kribs? or some shell dwellers?

*How about a half land, half water, with some fiddler crabs and WCMM?

* How about 4-5 female bettas?

I don't have my reference book, so, that's as many ideas as I can come up with... anyway, hope that gives you some ideas on what to do!

I have a 5gal with 4 zebras 5 neons and 2 corys.....

With them I have 6 fake plants and a castle thingy for the corys to hide under.

This is the Max Limit I have been told that I can have. I have just seen a 125ltr tank that I am going to get in the next couple of weeks.

Good Luck

We agree w/ Pooky's idea on the kribs.  We just got a pair a few weeks ago...had some problems until w/ added some danios as a buffer.  Love is in the air...er...water.  Plus kribs are some really cool looking fish.

As far as puffers, we suggest that if you are going to do that, don't have any other fish in the tank.  We learned the hard way that they love to munch on other tank mates.

The possibilities are virtually endless, but research is the key.  Find out what you like, what's compatible w/ it and how many you can stock.  Don't just buy things willy nilly or you will pay the price, so will your fish.  Take it from some people who learned that the hard way also.
