Stocking a 26gal. bow front

I just got another 26 gal. bow front tank identical to the one I have now. I wanted to get a few larger fish for it, rather than a bunch of smaller fish like in the one I have up and running now. So what I was wondering was what would be the biggest fish(s) I could put 1-2 of in a 26gal. bow front tank?

convict cichlid, possibly a mating pair?? that wouldbe cool

you could always get a gourami or 2 like:

• Chocolate Gourami (sphaerichthys osphromenoides)
• Sparkling/Dwarf/Purring/Pygmy/Dwarf Croaking Gourami (Trichopsis pumila)
• Pear Gourami (Trichogaster leerii)
• Dwarf Gouarmi (Colisa Lalia)

yea i would agree with the above suggestions. Be warned as Convict pairs can overrun you with babies...they're really cool cichlids though

Even if you can hold of them, I wouldn't go with chocolate or sparkling gouramis, they're far too delicate and it can be very frustrating keeping them healthy. Adding to the gourami list, something a bit more bold such as blue, golds or moonlights would also work.

Convicts are cool, but it depends if you want to keep anything else in the tank. If you do, then they're not a good choice, in the space of a 26 they'd have to be on their own.

Depending on the height of the tank you could also try a pair of angels.
