I started noticeing about a month and a half ago that my larger angel was chasing the other two around more than usuall, nothing serious, no fin nipping, just chasing. Then a couple weeks after than one of the smaller angles turned up dead. Cause unknown.

Now the other smaller angel has got small nips on the tail, and a little bit on its fins. They two will be swiming side by side, then all at once the larger one will just start chasing it for a short period of time and then stop.

And the weridest behavior, add feeding time, the large one will stay in the back of the tank for just a few moments after the food has been put in before it will come out and eat. It does eat very well once it comes out to eat. This is very odd because this angel has always been a pig.

Ive check the water, params are good. No visible signs of illness or a parasitic infection.

Im stumped on this one.

hello, sorry to here about ur angel, which one was it? ur angels were so cool. It could be that they have paired off but i doubt it. More likely that the big angel just turned bad, angels tend to do that as they mature. I heard that you should keep atleast four other wise the bigger one will make life miserable for the other ones, or in ur case kill them. See how it goes, but if it gets worse i'd relocate one of them befoe theres another death, was he the first angel u bought out the 3, if he was this could explain things as he may of tolerated them for a bit, but then as he got older he just got 2 p****d of with them. Is he only being aggresive to ur angel or is he doin it to any other fish in the tank?

It was the white one that got killed. I have really thought about the aggresion thing and really think that is the most likely cause. But I was wondering if anybody else had an idea, just wishfull thinking on my part.

It is very interesting to watch the two at work. The bigger one is more picky about who can and who cannot enter into his territory. He staked out a darker part of the tank, under the output of the HOB filter. This is also the home of my RainbowShark, but her cave is at the bottom.
